Help with the SimplePay time-clock app · Provided by Simple Source

SimplePay lets you clock in and out, take breaks, switch jobs, and view your timesheet and pay stubs from your phone. This page covers setup and the most common questions.

SimplePay is provided by your employer. You'll need the setup details (a QR code or server address) and the work username and password your employer gives you. If you don't have these, ask your manager or administrator.

Getting started

  1. Open the app. On first launch you'll see a setup screen.
  2. Connect to your workplace. Scan the setup QR code from your employer, or enter the company name and server address manually.
  3. Sign in with your work username and password.
  4. (Optional) Turn on biometric sign-in so you can sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, or your fingerprint next time.
  5. Clock in. Tap to clock in; make sure location is allowed so the app can confirm you're on an approved site.

Frequently asked questions

The app asks for a server or QR code — where do I get it?

SimplePay connects to your employer's system, so it needs setup details before you can sign in. Your manager or administrator can give you the setup QR code or the server address and company name to enter manually.

I can't sign in.

Check that you're using the work username and password your employer issued (not a personal account). Confirm your device has an internet connection. If you're sure the credentials are right and it still fails, your account or server setup may need attention from your employer's administrator.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, choose the password-reset option. The app will send a verification code to you and let you set a new password right in the app. If you don't receive a code, contact your employer's administrator.

It won't let me clock in — it says I'm not on-site.

SimplePay confirms you're inside an approved work-site area before clocking you in. Make sure you've allowed location access for the app and that location services are on, then try again from the work site. If you believe the site boundary is wrong, ask your administrator to check the geofence for your location.

Why does the app need my location?

Location is used only to confirm you're at an approved site when you clock in or out. The check happens on your device, and your location is not tracked or stored by us. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do breaks, lunches, and job transfers work?

While clocked in, use the on-screen options to start and end a break or lunch, or to transfer to a different job or department. Your status (clocked in, on break, or out) is always shown on the main screen.

Can I use Face ID / Touch ID / my fingerprint?

Yes. After signing in once, you can enable biometric sign-in so you don't have to re-enter your password. This is handled by your device — we never receive or store your biometric data.

My timesheet or pay stub looks wrong.

Your hours and pay are managed in your employer's system, not changed within the app. If something looks incorrect, contact your employer's payroll or HR team to review it.

Which devices are supported?

SimplePay is available for Android and iPhone. Keep the app and your operating system up to date for the best experience.

Still need help?

For questions about your hours, pay, or account, contact your employer's manager, administrator, or payroll team — they manage that information.
